World Cat 400CC-X Review

Let's take a closer look at the World Cat 400CC-X in this boat review from Florida Sportsman

World Cat 400CC-X Review

World Cat has effectively combined top tier catamaran hull performance with a stylish topside esthetic in this model.

The rock-solid stability at rest along with the smooth ride offered by the 400CC-X from World Cat should be reason enough to impress anyone who rides on one but there’s so much more to it than that. This brand continues to evolve with the market demand and has stayed relevant in the increasingly popular Cat market every step of the way.

Smart design innovations such as a forward lounge seating layout that allows you to arrange independent components of the sectional seating to your liking by the use of a sliding track for the center pieces is a fine example. In the cockpit, the transom is also a modular design that can be ordered with various configurations from molded-in seating, a 60-gallon live well or a combination 30-gallon live well &cooler with chiller plate. A combined total of over 1000-qts of insulated fish storage is available below deck fore and aft.

The helm station is also available in multiple configurations which include single row triple helm chairs with an electric adjustable captain’s chair. Behind the single row seating an aft facing Mezzanine seat with a large drink cooler is available. A second row of seats, either bench style Sleigh Seating or a second set of three helm chairs is optional as well.

For ultimate boarding convenience, a side opening boarding door is perfect for dockside entry.

The World Cat transom platform and retractable boarding stairs provide the simplest access into or out of the water and the ability to walk freely around the twin Yamaha 425s to fight a fish can’t be understated. The 400CC-X is a considerably massive platform to be powered adequately by only two engines but the effectiveness of this hull/power combination speaks to the efficiency of this cat design.

A host of luxury extras from SeaKeeper stabilizers to an 8k BTU Air Conditioning system, cockpit grill and refrigerator to underwater lights and much more are available in an infinite variety of combinations. If your dream catamaran tastes go beyond the need for a simple fishing platform, the 400CC-X adds luxury to fishability for days.
